It’s that time of year when we’re feeling motivated to trade bad habits in exchange for a fresh approach, so why not extend that thinking to your beauty routine? We asked leading beauty experts from across the country to share with us the resolutions they’ll be putting in place for a more beautiful year. Take notes on these smart hair goals, makeup must-dos and skin-savvy resolutions and make 2016 the most gorgeous yet.

One

Maddox Lu

“I plan to style my brows with the same consideration as my hair. I will think about prepping, priming, styling products and proper maintenance. If those babies are the frame to my face and I spend all this time perfecting my ‘picture’, the frame deserves the same treatment.”

Two

Lyndsay Craig

“I believe it is the perfect opportunity to dare to go bold in all categories of your beauty routine. Dare to try berry, deep wine or vibrant purple shades of lipstick that perhaps you wouldn’t be comfortable wear- ing. Dare to challenge yourself to experiment with nail art and design. Dare to experiment with self-tanning products!”

Three

Eric Del Monaco

“I would like to see women experiment with sexier, shorter styles. Hair is a woman’s best fashion accessory, so it’s important for her to update it, keep her style and look fresh. Plus nothing re-energizes you more than a sexy, beautiful new hairstyle and colour. I encourage women to liaise with their stylists to discuss new looks to change things up for the New Year.”

Four

Linda Stephenson

“I’m planning my beauty regime from the inside out. I’m going to try and fit in a facial on a more regular basis, exercise regularly and eat a healthy diet. These were also my resolutions for 2015 and probably a few years before that, so wish me luck please!”

Five

Kiara Leblanc

“I love this definition, ‘take apart in order to examine and repair if necessary.’ What an important thing to do at least annually when it comes to your personal routines. My beauty regime certainly stems from my wellness regime – to me they are interchangeable. Without wellness there is no beauty, and without beauty around me my wellness definitely suffers.”

Jane Mckay

“I personally prepare for this time in the same way I would a spring cleaning, and revamp my makeup bag to accommodate my drier and more wintery fair skin tone. Winter skin needs more moisture and less powder and this means removing powder products and replacing with creamy and hydrating products.”

Seven

Gina Edwards

“I’m looking forward to forecasting nail art trends from the runway and getting it on the shelves for the savvy DIY consumer. Another focus I have is experimenting with skincare products. As my skin changes, I realize I need to alter my skin care and begin incorporating face masks with night care.”

Vanda Serrador

“My skincare resolution is to use more seed oil based products. Everyone is talking about seed oils. They are like healing forces of nature with natural affinities to feed the skin and leave it replenished and radiant quickly.”
