After all the pinning, tucking, sewing and appliques, the final fitting of Joanna’s dress was fast approaching. Joanna’s choice of bridal gown was Ines Di Santo’s Sistine. From the time of her first fitting, Joanna knew this was the gown for her. As is the case with many brides, fittings, hemming and minor adjustments are all part of the journey a future bride takes until the big moment; the bridal gown reveal.

Joanna wanted to look her best and feel comfortable in her gown so she could dance the night away at her wedding. Both were certainly achieved. “I’m so grateful to Ines, Melissa and the Atelier’s seamstresses who made sure that no detail was left out,” recalls Joanna. “They are experts and I trusted them completely! The service and expertise at Ines Di Santo atelier on Davenport, was nothing short of impeccable,” says Joanna. “They go out of their way to make you feel special. Aside from the ceremony, my gown was the most important detail of my wedding and I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted to feel like a princess and the staff at the atelier made that happen.”

The Sistine is an off-white, trumpet style gown, adorned with lavish pearls and crystals effortlessly flowing from the fitted bodice right down to the hem of the skirt. Rather than go strapless, Joanna opted to add scalloped Chantilly lace straps into a plunging alluring back line with matching lace detail for a more finished and sophisticated look. She decided to replace some pearls with extra crystals to add to the sparkle and brilliance of the gown. Although almost invisible to the eye, skin tone tulle was overlaid on her back to keep everything in its place. Months in the making and the moment the dress went on, the fairytale unfolded. A week of rain gave way to a beautiful sunny autumn day with guests all gathered to share in the meaningful occasion, the day they became husband and wife.

Looking back on the day, Joanna shares that the way the dress made her feel is something she will always remember. “The rest of the wedding plans fade, and I remember putting on the dress and knowing that I made the right choice. It’s a feeling you don’t forget. Every time I look at my pictures, I remember that moment. It’s a feeling every bride should experience, regardless of what gown and style they choose. This dress made my dreams come true. I really owe it all to Ines Di Santo and her amazing team. It will be a moment I will always cherish.”
